There are several methods you can use to track the progress of your claim:

Online Through the SSA Website

The most efficient way to check your claim status is by logging into your my Social Security account at www.ssa.gov.

Once logged in, you can view:

• Application status
• Dates of any scheduled appointments
• Any letters or requests from the SSA
• Which stage of the process your claim is in

If you haven’t already, you can create an account online—just have your Social Security Number and some personal information ready.
